I've owned dogs my entire adult life. The last 11 years, that's meant owning Ruger — a 72lb American Staffordshire terrier who has strong opinions about what he puts in his mouth and even stronger jaws to back them up.
Ruger destroyed a KONG Classic in under 20 minutes. He's gone through three “indestructible” beds, two harnesses that claimed to be escape-proof, and more toys than I care to count. After the fourth time I threw out a shredded plush in the same month, I stopped buying things based on marketing and started testing them properly.
