Our verdict

Best for puppies. Age-calibrated, includes training support.

★★★★★ 8.3/10

Pros

  • Age-calibrated contents grow with your puppy
  • Includes training accessories other boxes don't
  • Good for first-time dog owners
  • Soft toys appropriate for puppy teeth

Cons

  • Not suitable for adult dogs
  • Not suitable for power chewers at any age

PupBox is built on a simple insight: puppies grow up fast, and the right toys for a 10-week-old are wrong for a 6-month-old.

Most subscription boxes ignore this entirely. PupBox asks how old your puppy is when you subscribe and calibrates every box to that age — smaller, softer items for young pups, progressively larger and tougher items as they grow. It's the only subscription box that actually tracks your dog's development.

What's in the box

Every PupBox ships 5–7 items: toys, treats, a chew, and training accessories. The training accessories are the differentiator — clickers, training guides, and puppy essentials that other boxes don't include. For a first-time puppy owner, this is genuinely useful.

The contents evolve month to month as your puppy ages. A 3-month-old gets different items than an 8-month-old. Items are sized appropriately to avoid choking hazards. Treats are puppy-appropriate.

How the toys hold up

PupBox toys are designed for puppy teeth, not adult power chewers. The materials are softer than adult chew toys — appropriate for developing jaws, durable enough for normal puppy play.

Once your dog reaches adulthood, PupBox toys won't survive a power chewer. That's by design — PupBox is a puppy product, not an adult dog product.

Pricing

The guarantee

Standard satisfaction guarantee. If your puppy doesn't take to something, their customer service will work with you on a replacement.

Who it's for

New puppy owners, especially first-timers who want guidance alongside toys and treats. The age-calibrated approach and training accessories add real value that no other subscription box provides. Once your dog is fully grown, reassess based on their chew strength — at that point PupBox is no longer the right fit.
